Please join me in congratulating some very deserving award winners:

At the College of Education and Human Services Awards Ceremony, Dean Ada Beth Cutler presented the following awards to our own MSUNER Executive Committee members:

Rosemary Clerico, principal of Spring Garden Elementary School in Nutley, received the Allan Morehead Memorial Award

Jim Aquavia, English supervisor at Montclair High School, received the William A. Cuff Award

Bill Hahn, principal of Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Clifton received, the Ercell I. Watson Award

Bette DaGiau, Director of Counseling and Student Assessment in Teaneck, received the Teacher Education in a Democracy Award

Clinical Faculty member, Peter Renwick, Montclair High School Assistant Principal, received an award for Outstanding Professional Achievement in Administration and Supervision from the Department of Counseling, Human Development, and Educational Leadership

MSU’s Gregg Festa, Director of the ADP Center for Teacher Preparation and Learning Technologies, was named the NJ Association for Educational Technology’s (NJAET) Educational Technologist of the Year. Visit the website www.njaet.org.

Two MSU student teachers received the New Jersey Commissioner’s Distinguished Teacher Candidate Award:

Tara James, Elementary Education, completed her student teaching at Lincoln Elementary School in Englewood

Tania Rodriguez, Spanish Education, completed her student teaching at Hazel Avenue Elementary School in West Orange
